Voltage distortion
Voltage distortion at the computer load will occur due to the voltage drop along the load conductors from the harmonic currents. Because the third harmonic is the most significant present in a computer installation, a substantial improvement in voltage distortion is achieved by removing it from the load current.

Removal of triplen harmonics
The Thycon Triplen unit utilises a delta-zigzag transformer connection to remove the triplen harmonics from the neutral conductor of the distribution system and any balanced triplen harmonic currents from the phase conductors.
